The only place to go is inside.
She said this with grace
and quickly forgot
as the outside world
met her skin
and her feelings they reared
and her thoughts they rippled.

Yet the breath of the sky
felt its way towards her
and she remembered
how to pause and soften
how to invite the inside out.
